It is located on the banks of the seasonal Olare Orok River, overlooking a large hippo pool with over 40 hippos at any given time. It is only a 05 minutes drive from Ol Kiombo Airstrip. River crossings during the July to October Migration period are only a short drive away from the camp.

Mara Bush Camp being Gold-Eco rated is incredibly important to us and the camp has been designed with minimal impact on the environment. We run on solar power, with handcrafted furniture built from sustainable wood and materials and are designed with great attention to detail.
Mara Bush Camp has won the Eco-Warrior Award 2019 for elimination and reduction of Single Use Plastic and features a number of wonderful sustainable activities as part of the Camp operation.
